Another Night, digital story about the history of lighting
Another Night, A short history of lighting, illustrated through Victoria’s cultural collections was my first story as a Guest Curator for the website Victorian Collections. I initially researched this topic for another project, then realised I could use the research for this digital story format, scouring online collection records for images that explored not just changing technology of lighting, but a totally different experience of night time interiors, new forms of work and play, and shifting aesthetics. This story was reviewed in the Professional Historians Australia e Newsletter, Historia issue 20 June 2017 and on the history blog, The Resident Judge of Port Phillip blog, 4 April 2017.
